We here at dzyne love toying around and experimenting with new technologies and getting to know that latest trends in the online world. One that has been a big up and comer lately is the advent of short URL services. These services all provide a way of giving short aliases for redirection to long URLs (a long URL for example is: http://www.yourcompany.com/look/at/this/file.html).
Web services such as TinyURL, and Bit.ly have been becoming more and more popular as easier ways to spread links to your favorite websites in todays social media world.
That's where we come in, dzyne is working on it's own short URL service - with a twist! Thus why we are calling it codename: twist.it
We are hoping to provide a service that is bland and boring and add some "new fangled" features that involve the community more, and get those links you want to share out to a larger audience.
Right now the project is in a concept phase, but we will have more information posted here when we are closer to an alpha release of the product.
Feel free to check this page for updates along the way.
